what did I do today ?
I went back to printmaking to finish off my second layer riso (red) on the print I started on Friday. after doing all 3 passport prints on A3 with the red layer, I experimented with doing the base layer in blue, and then in blue on graph paper just to experiment and try out a different riso ink. I really liked how they turned out, the final images and the experiments.
this took all day because the wifi was down at uni so all printers had stopped and we could email Carla so she wasn’t able to print in the morning so we had to go to an outside school printing shop to get copies of what we needed but by the time we got back the wifi was up and running again so no need. This was lucky as the prints we made outside of school were too dark for the riso so I needed to lower the opacity of the background layer so it didn’t stick to the ink roller in the printer. Then I left my prints to dry over night.
